Not Behind
You are here

You’re not behind on AI. You just haven’t been taught by someone who actually builds it.

Most “AI courses” are made by people whose only product is the course. I build AI products for a living — agents, tools, the real thing — and I’ll teach you to actually use AI in plain English. No jargon. No hype. No feeling stupid.

AI you can talk to
since 2022 — about 4 years

That gold sliver is the entire history of AI you can talk to. Nobody has decades of experience — the “experts” online started months before you.

You feel like you got a memo everyone else read.

You’ve watched everyone around you start talking about AI like they got a memo you missed. You’ve maybe opened ChatGPT once, typed something, got a so-so answer, and quietly closed the tab — and wondered if you’re too late, too old, or too non-technical to ever really get it.

Here’s the truth, from someone on the inside: the tools that have you anxious are only a few years old. You are not behind. You’ve just never had it explained by someone who understands it deeply and can talk to you like a human. That’s the whole point of this course.

Here’s the whole trick, in one screen.

Most people type one thing, get one answer, and give up. Watch what actually makes it work:

AI

online
Plan me a week of dinners.
AI
Sure — here's a simple week: Mon roast chicken · Tue pasta bake · Wed baked salmon Thu turkey chili · Fri fajitas · Sat soup · Sun leftovers Want sides or a shopping list?
I don’t have an oven.
this is the whole skill — you just refine
AI
No problem — same week, stovetop only: Mon chicken stir-fry · Tue one-pan pasta · Wed pan-seared salmon Thu chili · Fri skillet fajitas
Make it cheaper, and add a shopping list grouped by aisle.
AI
Done — swapped in chicken thighs, dried beans and frozen veg to cut the cost. Shopping list: Produce — onions, peppers, spinach Meat — chicken thighs Pantry — rice, pasta, canned tomatoes Frozen — mixed veg

You’re not asking a question — you’re having a conversation. The magic isn’t the first answer; it’s what you say next. That one shift changes everything.

This is for you — and honestly not for everyone.

  • You can text and browse the web. That's every skill required.
  • You've felt that quiet “am I too late for this?”
  • You want plain-English usefulness — not jargon, not hype.
not for you if

you already build with AI every day. You’re past this — send it to someone who isn’t.

Learn it from someone who builds the real thing.

Eric, founder and instructor
Eric · founder & instructor

I’m Eric. I’ve spent my career building software — including startups acquired by Google, Ford, and Nest. I’m a former Zapier engineer, and today I build AI products: autonomous agents, developer tools, the infrastructure other companies use to ship AI.

I’m not teaching AI from the outside looking in — I build the exact systems everyone’s talking about. But building it isn’t the same as explaining it, and most builders are terrible at the second part. I’m not. You get the rare combination: someone at the frontier of this technology who’ll explain it like a friend, not a lecture.

Two ideas demystify the whole thing.

No math, no jargon. Understand these two and you can use AI well — and know when not to trust it.

Idea Diagrams

By the end, you’ll be the person who…

  • Sits down with any AI tool and gets real value out of it — for work and life
  • Writes prompts that get genuinely good results, not generic mush
  • Knows exactly when to trust AI and when it's confidently wrong
  • Uses AI for the annoying parts of your job and your week, and gets time back
  • Stops feeling behind — for good — because you understand the fundamentals that don't change

Good results aren’t magic words.

It’s just clear asking — a skill you already have. Same task, two ways:

lazy

Write a cover letter.

→ generic mush nobody reads.
loaded

Write a 200-word cover letter for a marketing role at a small B2B company. I'm a teacher switching careers — confident, not arrogant. Here's the job post: […]

→ written for your actual situation.
